What is up everyone and thank you for coming back for the eleventh edition of the12th Man Blog. This week’s episode was a little bit different than others, my professor as well as academic adviser, Joe Dennis joined me for the eleventh edition of the 12th Man Podcast. This week has been in the works for a while because I can remember as soon as I brought my topic of fantasy sports up to him he wanted to be on my podcast and the time is here and it did not disappoint.

This week’s episode was filled with many different stories of fantasy sports as Mr. Dennis has been one of the most well versed sports fanatics and fantasy sports participants that I have had on the 12th Man Podcast. Dennis has been involved with fantasy sports ever since the mid 1990’s and looking at how much it has changed and grown throughout the years is night and day. “With sites like Yahoo and day to day sites like Fan Duel and Dra ft Kings, it is more widely available and easy to access,” starting off breaking down stats and putting them into an Excel spreadsheet to keep up with the fantasy leagues. The other thing that we had on the podcast for the episode was how Dennis was able to find Piedmont, from growing up on the South side of Chicago and being involved in sports from a very young age, Dennis’s path has lead him to the small town of Demorest, Georgia. “I didn’t really want to do journalism, and I didn’t really like to write,” but Dennis found a love in writing and it eventually moved him down to Georgia, and eventually landed him a job with the University of Georgia Ice Dawgs hockey team as a PA Announcer. His love for sports runs deep and it shows through his work.

Joe Dennis is one of the biggest sports fans as well as a Chicago White Sox fan, who is your favorite sports team?
