Welcome back to the third edition of the 12th Man blog! This week is very special for many reasons. We had a very special guest on my show this week, a very good family friend, and his name is Bart Ingram. This interview was so good that I decided to split it up into two different parts because we got some unique insights into the world of NASCAR and racing in general. This week, my guest has been in the racing world ever since he was young and started driving when he was just six years old. Growing up in a racing family, Bart has been in the racing scene for the past 40 years and that shows by all the experiences he has had. From racing with legends such as Dale Earnhardt, Bobby Allison, Bobby Irvan, and current track drivers Joey Logano and the most recent Daytona 500 winner Michael McDowell. Bart Ingram has seen it all. I got a unique perspective on how he views NASCAR today, especially regarding the advancements of the sport.

Being behind the wheel gives Bart a different perspective when it comes to going to races. Having that different perspective to give his kids Jeremy, Silas and Ellie each time they go to the track, such as Atlanta, Rome and Toccoa is something that will always be in his blood. Being around a sport for as long as he has been and having your family lineage be involved is something that was destined to happen. Bart Ingram has gotten to live out his dream ever since a young age and has enjoyed every second of the ride along the way. From the good ole’ boys racing to the technology advancements of where NASCAR is today, Bart has seen the sport grow in good ways, but it is all about one thing, and that is staying true to your roots along the way.

Make sure you tune in next week for part 2 of the interview with Bart Ingram, where we talk about anything and everything football and fantasy sports!

Here is a question for you, what are your views on NASCAR? What is your favorite part of the sport itself? Let me hear your thoughts in the comments below!
