What is up, everyone, and welcome back to the eighth edition of the Twelfth Man blog! I have taken a little bit of a break as I had some family issues popped up a couple of weeks ago, but I am proud to say that the Twelfth Man blog is officially back and ready to hit the ground running! I have a great episode in store for you as we will pick back up right where we left off with the topics that we missed during my hiatus from the Twelfth Man podcast and blog.
Let me start things off by saying that March Madness lived up to the Madness in its name and showed the world why it is one of the best, if not the best tournament that the sports world offers. I sat down and recapped the NCAA March Madness tournament and talked about some of the big stories of the tournament, such as the UCLA vs. Gonzaga game as well as the title game itself. The UCLA Bruins were the Cinderella story, or not so much, Cinderella story of the 2021 tournament because of the fight that the Bruins put up throughout the tournament itself and showed the world that the PAC-12 is a conference to be reckoned with as well as a statement piece in the college basketball world putting up what could be the most entertaining game of the tournament when they faced off against the Bulldogs of Gonzaga. One other topic that I covered was one that I particularly enjoyed covering was the reveal of how my bracket did in this year’s tournament, as I correctly picked the Baylor Bears basketball team to win the tournament.
The other topic that I covered and that we caught up on was the MLB and the culmination of the 2021 season. The MLB is officially back and in full swing, so we are going to be a very baseball heavy podcast for weeks to come because this has been a very long-awaited season opener for many reasons due to the shortened season, as well as to see if my Boston Red Sox will make this year a bounce-back year from that abomination of a season last year. So make sure you tune in for everything MLB as well as a March Madness recap this week on the Twelfth Man Podcast.
Here is a question for you, who are your early AL & NL MVP candidates for the 2021 MLB season and why?
